How To: Turn on/off the “Critical” option

The “Critical” option allows you to mark hardware as critical for better monitoring and management. Follow these steps to adjust this setting.

Turning On the “Critical” Option for Hardware

1. Navigate to Hardware:
   
   
   • Once logged in, select the "Hardware" option from the navigation menu.
     
     
     
2. Select the Hardware:
   
   
   • On the Hardware page, find and expand the server that contains the hardware you want to mark as critical.
     
     
     
   • Select the hardware
     
     
     
3. Turn On the “Critical” Option:
   
   
   • After selecting the hardware, look for a “Status” option in the floating menu.
     
     
     
   • Click on the "Status" option and then select the “On” button near the Critical option from the list.
     
     
     
   • Confirm the action by clicking on the “YES, ENABLE” button in the confirmation modal.
     
     
     
4. Verify the Critical Status:
   
   
   • After enabling the “Critical” option, check the label under the hardware to ensure the “Critical” label is displayed.
     

Turning Off the “Critical” Option for Hardware

1. Navigate to Hardware:
   
   
   • Once logged in, select the "Hardware" option from the navigation menu.
     
     
     
2. Select the Hardware:
   
   
   • On the Hardware page, find and expand the server that contains the hardware you want to unmark as critical.
     
     
     
   • Select the hardware
     
     
     
3. Turn Off the “Critical” Option:
   
   
   • After selecting the hardware, look for a “Status” option in the floating menu.
     
     
     
   • Click on the "Status" option and then select the “Off” button near the Critical option from the list.
     
     
     
   • Confirm the action by clicking the “YES, DISABLE” button in the confirmation modal.
     
     
     
4. Verify the Critical status:

• After disabling the “Critical” option, check the label under the hardware to ensure the “Critical” label is not displayed.
