Are you transitioning from a 30-day free trial of the Boring Toolbox to a full production license? This guide will walk you through the straightforward process of applying your newly acquired license to your existing installation.

Step 1: Change your license

• Open your browser and navigate to the Boring Toolbox (https://your.server.name/boringtoolbox)
• In the left navigation, click About
• Click Change license

Step 2: Enter your new paid entitlement

• Use the information from the purchase entitlement notification to fill in the new license fields and click Activate License
  • This will activate the license using the internet (online)
• You will see a green "Successfully updated license" notification once the new license is applied

Version 5

Deactivate the existing free trial license

• Launch The Boring Toolbox client and on the login screen, click the ? in the bottom left corner

• Click "Deactivate License"

• Confirm you would like to deactivate the license

Purchased license activation

Once deactivated, launch The Boring Toolbox again and go through the activation process.
