Renaming a device group in The Boring Toolbox allows you to update the group's name for better organization and clarity. Follow these steps to rename a device group.

Steps to Rename a Device Group

Method 1: Renaming in bulk

1. Navigate to Device Groups:
   
   
   • Once logged in, select the "Device groups" option from the navigation menu.
     
     
2. Select the Groups:
   
   
   • On the Device Groups page, select the groups you want to rename.
   • After selecting the device group, the "Rename" button should appear in the floating menu.
   • Click on the "Rename" button.
     
     
3. Rename the Group:
   
   
   • In the "Rename Device Groups" page, enter the current name in the “Find” field and the new name in the “Replace With” field.
     
     
4. Save the Changes:
   
   
   • After entering the new name, click on the "APPLY TO SELECTED" button.
     
     
   • The new name should be displayed in the "UPDATED NAME" column.
     
     
   • Click on the "Next" button, then click on the "Save Changes" button.

Method 2: Renaming individual groups

1. Hover over the Group Name:
   
   
   • Locate the group name you want to rename.
   • Hover over the group name.
     
     
   • Click on the three-dot icon (ellipsis) that appears next to the group name.
     
     
   • Select the "Rename" option from the dropdown menu.
     
     
2. Rename the Group:
   • The group name field will become editable.
     
     
   • Enter the new name and click outside of the field to finalize the change.
