Email Alerts Fail

We have tried to configure email alerts with or without advance settings to no avail. We have used Gmail's SMTP relay as well as the native boring setup but neither work. Any ideas?

  Can you let me know what port the default configuration settings use?

  Hi Jim,

  By default The Boring Toolbox will send emails out via our integration with an email service provider.  This does require the Boring Service Host, which runs on your management server, to have access to the internet with outbound port 25 open.

  Using the advanced configuration however will allow you to use your own internal mail servers without access to the internet.  There is no default configuration for this option.

  Thanks Ronan, is there a list of URL's we can whitelist for this purpose?

  Hi Jim.

  I believe the URL is smtp.sendgrid.net.
