Bulk moves of hardware across recording servers

We're currently doing a lot of upgrading/shuffling of our recording servers.  This causes me to take all of the cameras on a recording server and move them to one or more other servers, completely clearing out a server.  It would be helpful for Boring Toolbox to have a "bulk move hardware" feature.  It would save me a lot of clicks.

  Hi Jeremy Charles,

  Thanks for the idea.  We have not implemented this as it actually already exists in Milestone :)

  • In management client > servers > recording servers
  • Right click on a recording server
  • Select Move hardware...

  LOL...  Never realized you could click on a *recording server* and move all of its hardware.  I was doing it on each piece of hardware, one at a time.   Thanks for pointing that out!
